Lightning Reflexes!

I was with David at the 50th Anniversary celebration in Penarth last year. He and your mother drove my wife,Viv, and I to the Saturday evening function and I actually reminded him of a moment which I have never forgotten.

He was fielding very close to the wicket in a cricket match in Penarth, I can't remember if it was a house match or a school match. I was just a spectator when the batsman hit a thunderous blow and we all looked towards the boundary. However your father with amazing reflexes had actually caught the ball to the astonishment of everyone! He admitted that something similar happened later in life when that batsman was also in a state of complete disbelief.

Incidentally, my oldest daughter is a Sian my next, a son, is Ceri but my last is a Lara!

All the best to your dad on his birthday. I'm a mere baby and am not 70 until next March!
